Part exchange is a great way of getting the best price for your car, motorhome or van and using the proceeds of the sale towards the purchase price of a campervan, all whilst avoiding the usual hassles of selling a vehicle. It’s an ideal way of helping you to pay for a campervan and lowering your monthly finance payments, or reducing the amount of capital that you have to provide upfront.

To ensure that you get the best price, our process involves getting valuations from a number of approved traders and then accepting the highest bid for you.

Two ways to part exchange

Part exchanging a vehicle with us is really straightforward. There are two ways that you can go about this:

Online

Completing our online part exchange enquiry form is quick and easy, and enables you to start the process for part trading in your vehicle at any time of the day or the night, and wherever in the world that you may currently be. Using this form, we will capture information about the vehicle you are looking to part exchange and allow you to upload pictures of this. We will then take a look at your vehicle and appraise it in the same way that we would in person.

In person

If you prefer to bring your vehicle into us in person, you can do just that too. Simply let us know which campervan you are looking to purchase, and we will ask you to bring your vehicle to our showroom in Macclesfield. We will then undertake an appraisal for you on the day and begin the process of obtaining a price for your vehicle.

What vehicles do we allow you to part exchange?

We will allow you to part exchange most vehicles with a valid MOT. This is not restricted to any specific manufacturers or vehicle types, we are happy to consider any vehicle that you own.

How does part exchange work at CamperKing?

1. Provide us with your vehicle details

Provide us with these details online or bring the vehicle to our showroom in Macclesfield,  Cheshire, the choice is yours

2. We will appraise your vehicle

We will take some information about the vehicle and obtain valuations from our panel of trusted traders

3. Valuation of your vehicle

We will accept the highest bid from our panel of trusted traders, in order to get you the best price for your vehicle

4. The price will be deducted from the cost of your campervan

The accepted price for your current vehicle will then be deducted from the cost of your campervan

5. Same-day exchange

We will take ownership of the vehicle you are exchanging at the same time that you collect your CamperKing campervan

What you will need to part exchange a vehicle

• A valid registration certificate (V5C) in your name and matching your address and the vehicle’s number plates
• A valid photo driving licence or passport in your name
• Proof of your address, such as a utility bill or bank statement
• Evidence of the vehicle’s service history
• At least one set of keys for the vehicle

Whether it's a car, a motorhome, or another campervan that you are looking to sell, we are happy to consider it in part exchange for one of our campervans.

All part exchanges are on the basis of us appraising the vehicle first. However, this is not restricted to any specific manufacturers or vehicle types. We will happily consider any vehicle that you own.

We are either able to appraise your vehicle when you come to visit us at our HQ in Warmington near Banbury, or we are able to do this remotely. If you aren't able to visit us, simply send us some pictures and information on the vehicle, and we will be happy to take a look.
